The POL30 covers the three standard polarized-light techniques — orthoscopic single polarization, crossed polarization and conoscopic observation with the Bertrand lens — on one stand.
All optics are strain-free and the stage rotates through 360° with 1° graduations and a locking mechanism, so extinction angles can be read directly. A λ, λ/4 and quartz wedge compensator set is included for retardation measurement.
