The PHD500 uses an integrated phase contrast system (IPC) rather than separate slider rings, so switching between brightfield and phase is a single turret rotation. The long working distance condenser leaves 72 mm clearance — enough for culture flasks, multi-layer cell factories and microplates.
The body is compact enough for a bench inside a laminar flow cabinet, with a 90–230 V wide-range supply and automatic slide detection.
