Many candidates only look at the magnification and NA, ignoring the parfocal distance, causing the magnification to be seriously out of focus, and even hitting the specimen with the objective.
Parallel Focal Distance: The axial distance from the shoulder face to the focal plane of the sample at which the objective is mounted. Equipped with the same parfocal objective on the converter, the switching magnification only needs to be fine-focused.
Note: RMS threads are mostly universal, but mixing with different focus is strictly prohibited!
45mm | Universal package: 160 limited distance, domestic/Olympus infinite distance Applicable: biological, ordinary metallography, teaching microscope Features: short objective, more choices, cost-effective, routine observation preferred
60mm | For example, Nikon CFI60 and some domestic microscope manufacturers: Nikon CFI60 Infinity System Applicable: Fluorescence, high-end metallography, biological microscope Features: Length of mirror, better aberration correction, support for large field of view, complex achromatic, limited to the same azimuth distance. NIS 60mm Brightfield Full Composite Metallographic Objective
95mm | Supporting equipment for industrial measurement: Mitutoyo Industrial, WMD Applicable: Precision dimensional inspection, wafer, automated inspection Features: objective lens length, large optical path reserved space, can be installed with spectroscopy/interference module, high measurement accuracy
95mm APO NIR Long Working Distance Metallographic Objective
1. In the same converter, the parfocal distance must be uniform and cannot be mixed
2. Parallel focus distance ≠ working distance WD Parallel focus: positioning shoulder to focal plane; WD: objective front lens to sample gap
3. Parallel focus and cylinder length, infinity are two sets of limited concept 160 cylinder length cylinderless lens Tube Lens; infinity system must be equipped with Tube Lens
45mm: routine observation; 60mm: Nikon high-end imaging; 95mm: industrial precision measurement. The objective lens is selected, and the parfocal distance is a key mechanical parameter that cannot be ignored.
